The Off-Axis Guider is easy to use and makes taking photos a real pleasure!  You can finish taking a picture and be taking the next one in less than five minutes without having to fumble around with small screws!  Two pick off prisms relay the light out through a secondary focus assembly which holds your guiding eyepiece.  Simply loosen three hold down screws, rotate the whole focus assembly looking for a guide star, scanning radially by turning a thumbscrew if need be.  Once the guide star is found, lock down the three brass holding screws, and you're ready to photograph!


This system is ideal for Newtonian scopes of all makes, especially homebuilts.  Wherever you take your scope, you'll always have your guider built right into it.  The large prisms ensure you of the brightest guide stars and are adjustable for scanning close to, or even on the object, you're photographing.  There's no better way to guide than off-axis for the most consistent results without guiding errors.  Whatever happens to the image in the camera is exactly what's happening to the image in your guiding eyepiece.

For proper fitting of the Off-Axis Guider assembly to your telescope, we need to know the outside tube diameter.  Fasteners to mount to your telescope will be supplied with the Off-Axis unit.  All you need to do is cut the main opening in your tube, drill 4 holes for the screws to fasten it on, and you're in business.  Astrophotography will never by simpler or easier!
